Rebecca Dimyan is an award-winning author, editor, and professor. Her memoir Chronic was published in 2023 and delves into her experience with chronic illness and alternative medicine. Her debut novel Waiting for Beirut explores love and identity against the backdrop of 1950’s Lebanon and Connecticut. Both books won the Firebird Book Award. Her personal and micro essays have been published in many places including Vox First Person, River Teeth: A Journal of Nonfiction Narrative, Sky Island Journal, Yahoo Health, and forthcoming in The 2026 CT Literary Anthology. Rebecca is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Fairfield University.Â
