Intro To Screenwriting for Teens

Four Sessions: Sundays, 2:00-4:00pm (In Person)

Jan. 19th, Jan. 26, Feb. 2nd, & Feb. 9th

In this class, we will run over the basic elements of what makes a good screenplay. We will be examining the differences between writing for film, episodic, and play while providing room for writing exercises and open forum questions on craft or story. You may submit pages ahead of class for personal critique or table reads, with writers of all skill levels encouraged to join! No idea is too big, no story is too small!

Students can expect:

 

• A complete draft of a script!
• An understanding of the basics for crafting film, TV, and play scripts!
• An awesome community of fellow writers to connect with!
• Time to talk critically and supportively about each other’s material!
• Mentor texts that are not only engaging, but help with learning the importance of craft!
