Tessa Wegert is the critically acclaimed author of the six-book Shana Merchant mystery series as well as the North Country series, which includes In the Bones and The River Runs Black. Her books have received numerous starred reviews and have been featured on PBS and NPR Radio. When she isn’t writing, Tessa teaches and coaches authors at various stages of their careers. She is the co-founder and former co-president of Sisters in Crime CT, former co-director of International Thriller Writers (ITW)’s New York-based PitchFest, and currently serves on the board of ITW. Tessa grew up in Quebec and now lives with her family in Connecticut.
