Lori Miller Kase

Lori Miller Kase is an award-winning journalist, short story writer, essayist and young adult author. Her debut novel, The Accident, was published by Woodhall Press on October 14, 2025, and was the 2024 YA finalist for the Tassy Walden Awards for New Voices in Children’s Literature. Her short stories and essays have been published in anthologies and literary journals—including Literary Mama, Cleaver, and most recently, the 2025 Connecticut Literary Anthology— and she received The Letter Review Prize for Short Fiction. She studied creative writing at Brown University and at Wesleyan University, where she earned a Master’s degree, and has taught it to elementary, middle school and high school students.
