Seven Tuesday Sessions
6 – 8 PM EST
Dates: 4/7 – 5/26 (OFF 4/14)
Where does your life story actually begin? And what is the difference between what’s happened to you, life-changing events, and your day-to-day life versus the actual story you want to write? By focusing on creative nonfiction, we’ll delve into writing about our lives while analyzing powerful examples from Roxane Gay, Jesmyn Ward, and Javier Zamora, among others. We’ll write based on prompts and share with the class while focusing on each attendee’s personal goals. This workshop is ideal for beginner and intermediate writers who have wanted to start writing about their lives and don’t know where to begin or have some drafts under their belts. This workshop is also geared to writers who have an early draft or outline of a book and aim to complete it.
