Seven Tuesday Sessions
6:30–8:30 PM
Dates: 9/15 – 10/27
It’s one thing to write short pieces. It’s another to write strong short pieces. How do writers of flash nonfiction compress so much meaning and energy into so few words? How do we make a flash feel complete? And what kind of writing process generates these small written wonders? Each week, four participants will share their flash drafts (capped at 750 words) for positive, growth-oriented feedback. Over the seven-week workshop, each participant will have several opportunities to share their work.
Students can expect:
- A supportive community driven by positive, growth-oriented feedback
- Multiple opportunities to share your drafts
- Craft moves to compress and strengthen your prose
- Prompts and mentor texts
- Resource-rich follow-up emails
