Five Tuesday Sessions

This class will introduce you to the fundamental concepts of writing a novel, no matter what the genre. Bring your in-progress fiction manuscript, brainstorm an idea in class, or start a new project during the session. Students are welcome to share up to four pages (2,000 words) per week of their fiction for positive feedback in a supportive setting, though sharing your work is not required.
This class is ideal for people who:
- Are writing or want to write a novella or novel in any genre.
- Are interested in learning about the craft elements of novel-writing, including story arc, structure of scenes, dialogue, backstory, point of view, characterization, pacing, plotting, and more.
- Want to write new words in their project or revise an existing project.
- Are beginning or intermediate writers, or are advanced writers new to novel-writing.
What you will take from this class:
- Inspiration to continue to work on your project.
- Confidence to finish your work in progress, revise your manuscript, or start a new work.
- Deeper understanding of the craft elements of writing a novel.
