Five Thursday Sessions
10:00-12:00 EST
Dates: 9/17 – 10/15
Food is all around us. But how many of us stop to savor the taste and distinguish the flavors that spread across our tongue from a good meal? In this course, we will read work by Bryan Washington, Krys Malcolm Belc, Michelle Zauner and others to capture what it means to write fiction and nonfiction that makes the reader hungry. We will talk about food as survival, food as art, and food as lifestyle. We will talk about taste as one of the significant five senses. The instructor will also share her experience writing a food-centric novel.
