Join the Westport Writers' Workshop for a memorable evening at the Museum of Contemporary Art \ CT featuring acclaimed author Rebecca Makkai.

The evening begins with Rebecca leading an author conversation from 6:30 – 7:30 PM, offering a behind-the-scenes look at her celebrated novels, the inspiration behind her work, and the creative process that has made her one of today's most celebrated literary voices. Attendance for the author talk is complimentary.

Keep the celebration going by joining us for our Evening Epilogue Reception from 7:30 – 9:30 PM, immediately following the author talk. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle with Rebecca in MOCA CT's beautiful galleries while enjoying drinks, light bites, live acoustic music, a silent auction, book giveaways, and more.

In anticipation of the event, Executive Director Amanda Parrish Morgan will host a complimentary virtual book discussion of Rebecca's novel The Great Believers on October 7th.

Westport Writers' Workshop is pleased to host author Rebecca Makkai.

Rebecca Makkai is the author of the New York Times-bestselling I Have Some Questions For You as well as four other works of fiction. Her novel The Great Believers was one of the New York Times’ Best Books of the 21st Century, finalist for both the 2019 Pulitzer Prize and the 2018 National Book Award, and the winner of the ALA Carnegie Medal and LA Times Book Prize, among other honors. A 2022 Guggenheim Fellow, Rebecca teaches graduate fiction writing at Middlebury College, Northwestern University, and the Bennington Writing Seminars. She is Artistic Director of StoryStudio Chicago.
