Building Your Story Through Prompts

This class is designed for writers of every genre and level of experience. My goal is to help you fearlessly dive into your creativity, build confidence as a writer and develop the tools you need to tell your own stories. Each week, we’ll begin with a simple prompt—an image, a phrase, or a “what if” question—and use it to practice skills such as developing a detailed setting, creating characters, building atmosphere, and moving a story forward. You’ll try out short writing exercises, share ideas in a supportive group, and see how small pieces of writing can grow into full stories. Along the way, you’ll pick up techniques for generating ideas, organizing your writing, and revising with clarity. You are guaranteed to leave with fresh strategies, new story beginnings, a stronger sense of your own voice, and confidence in your own ability to imagine and write.
