In crime fiction, the author must embrace deception, covet secrets, and master misdirection. This class will help writers weave plot, setting, characters, twists, and other elements of craft into their manuscripts. This workshop is for students already working on a manuscript with the goal of helping them take their work to the next level.
The class will feature:
- A supportive environment to share pages and receive feedback
- Focus on craft aimed at addressing roadblocks you might be encountering
- Discussion of commercial viability, pathways to publication, and querying
- Review and analysis of published novels to help inform your work
