Editing is easier said than done. It is one thing to recognize the issues with our work and another thing to effectively tackle those problems. Revising requires a vast set of skills and oftentimes when revising, writers will find themselves bumping up against the limit of their current skill set. In this four day intensive workshop, writers will bring their work to class, discuss editorial skills and strategies, and practice those skills in real time through prompts and editorial exercises. This workshop will help writers develop the skills necessary to revise successfully, including restructuring, transitioning, where to cut, where to add, changing pace, creating continuity, momentum, and payoff.
