7 Tuesdays 12:45-3:15 (1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, off, 2/25, 3/4, 3/11)
In this 2.5 hour in-person workshop, writers are challenged to write beyond their edge by utilizing examples of superlative prose, study of craft and group feedback. Writers will bring up to 1200 words to class which they will read aloud to the group and on which they will receive group and instructor feedback. Identifying strengths and weaknesses of their own pieces, writers will utilize craft and editorial suggestions to address potential areas of improvement. Come sharpen your skills and break into the next level of your ability.

Julie Sarkissian is the author of Dear Lucy, published by Simon and Schuster and nominated for the Dylan Thomas Prize. Her essays, short fiction and book reviews have appeared in The New York Times, Tin House, The Huffington Post, The New York Observer, and Flavorwire, among others. Born and raised in Southern California, she has a BA in English from Princeton and an MFA from The New School.
She worked for Sackett Street Writers in Brooklyn, NY as a fiction instructor and manuscript consultant before moving to Westport, CT with husband and two young children.
