“I don’t wait to be struck by lightning and don’t need certain slants of light in order to write.”  – Toni Morrison

Do you want to write but don’t know where to start? Do you have an idea but no time to develop it? Writing begets writing and this workshop will get the juices flowing. You’ll write to prompts and learn techniques to develop these freewrites into stories or essays. Using contemporary readings, you’ll explore different genres and discover the motivation to continue. Discover the writer within you during these inspired six weeks!

In this class, you can expect:·

  • A warm, supportive environment.
  • Craft notes woven through positive feedback.
  • Weekly follow-up emails with additional stories and essays, as well as more prompts to play with in between workshops.
  • Guidance about the writer’s life – including thoughts on how to get unstuck, and how to silence the critic.
