This workshop is designed for those who have little or no experience writing fiction. We will dip our toes into the creative waters using writing prompts designed to illustrate the basics of creative writing: point of view, character, plot, mood and tone, etc. We will then discuss your work in a positive and constructive light, all aimed toward inspiring further writing.

In this workshop you can expect:

  • Inspiring writing prompts for both in-class and “homework”
  • Discussions of the basics of creative writing, including point of view, dialogue, plot, and character
  • Class time for writing
  •  Discussions of your work aimed toward inspiring further writing
